Our
steading, self catering holiday cottages, are situated in a beautiful
rural location, nestled in the rolling countryside of Aberdeenshire and
are perfectly situated for visiting the Highlands, the Grampian
mountains, coast and are in easy access to the Costal, Pictish, Whisky
and Castle trails. The steading buildings were converted into three
self catering cottages and were
finished to a very high standard in late 2008. They are comfortably
furnished and fully equipped, offering our guests a cosy and welcoming,
home away from home.
Set in their own grounds of around 55 acres, which include 18 acres of
woodland, there is a diverse mix of wildlife, which includes Roe Deer,
Foxes, Badgers and Rabbits. Buzzards and |

Kestrels can be seen hovering in the skies and Swallows visit from April
to late September. We also have a wonderful mix of garden birds, which
include wrens, blue tits, sparrows and many others.
The owners, Tina & Sid Hadlum, live on site
and are available to offer help in any way, but we respect your privacy
at all times.
Fishing, golf, equestrian, shooting and hill walking are available
locally. For the children there is 'Tons of Fun' a centre for the
younger children near Turriff. Or you can take a boat trip out from the
fishing port of MacDuff into the moray firth and view the Dolphins and
visit the Sea Aquarium close to the historic harbour. More information

The
cottages are approximately 7 miles from the market town of Turriff,
where you will find an indoor swimming pool, sports centre and park with
a selection of shops and eating places in the High Street. The historic
town of Huntly is only 8 miles away. Here you will find the falconry
centre, wildlife centre, Bin Forest for quiet, tranquil walks and the
castle to explore. The town centre has the local train station, with
services into Inverness and Aberdeen, tourist information centre
(seasonal), supermarkets, shops and eating places.
Inverurie is 16 miles away. A lovely market town which offers a larger
selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, train station (also
offering services to Inverness and Aberdeen), sports centre,
swimming pool and a large park with children's

area. Aberdeen city is about 35 miles away and offers the main train
station to major cities and towns to the south, a large selection of
shops, restaurants, theatres, galleries and gardens. Aberdeen has a
lovely sandy beach. An entertainment complex is situated just off the
beach, consisting of a funfair, ten-pin bowling, a multi screen cinema,
